C. A. Locksmith Inc., a family-owned business, was founded in 1972.
Initially, their focus was primarily on residential applications, although
they also served commercial accounts. In 1979, the emphasis shifted to be
primarily commercial accounts, while still serving their residential
customers.
In 1989, they saw a need to expand into electronic security and in 1991, they
installed their first handreader that was controlled by security management
software. In 1992, they began to incorporate closed-circuit television for
security applications. In 1994, they recognized a security industry shift
towards electronic security and developed a business unit called Commercial
Access Systems that is dedicated solely to meet this need.
Since that time, CAS has expanded into electronic card access, CCTV
monitoring, biometric security, video employee badging, handreaders and door
hardware. In 2000 CAS installed their first complete security command center.
Commercial Access Systems has many years of experience in the security
industry, in both mechanical and electronic systems. They can provide
tomorrow's technology in security management.
